Register NOW for the 2016-17 IEA TEAM

loganYou might be asking yourself, “Why should I encourage my child to participate in IEA?” The benefits of riding on an IEA team are the development of strong equitation skills and a competitive riding edge.  The key difference between the Stonehouse Stables IEA Equitation Team and the Stonehouse Stables Show Team is that team participants are not assigned to a particular horse to ride in their lessons and shows throughout the entire IEA season.  IEA members that compete in IEA Rated shows will ride a mount provided by the barn that is hosting the show.  Therefore, each show exhibitor will not know what horse they are riding until the Coaches meeting that will take place 30 minutes before the start time of each IEA Rated Show.    The format of IEA shows allow riders to show off the skills they learn at home while developing the ability to ride confidently through the challenge of an unknown horse and environment. Further, IEA is a team sport, where the success of the team is dependent upon each member giving their best and supporting one another! Participation in IEA instills the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship.  Additionally, riders who are interested in collegiate riding will find the IEA program to be a wonderful stepping stone towards a successful college riding career.

Stonehouse offers different packages to suite different rider levels to help meet different goals.  To learn more about IEA and the Stonehouse Stables team, please join us, July 25th at 6:30PM for an IEA Q&A session.
