Ride Strong

Stonehouse Stables is excited to be partnering with SNAP Fitness of Norge to offer a unique equestrian fitness program.  Are you interested in improving your riding performance? Do you have specific riding goals you would like to reach in 2015? Would you like to improve your overall fitness? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you will benefit from the equestrian fitness program!  You expect your horse to be an athlete, why not you?  We should be able to perform at the same level we expect from our horse.

The goals of this program are to:

  • Increase overall fitness.
  • Improve your balance to advance your performance and your horses’.
  • Strengthen your core to help support your stability in the saddle.
  • Increase cardio endurance to help you maintain stamina throughout your riding lesson.
  • Specially designed workouts target specific muscle groups riders use to complete fundamental skills.

During each session you will work with a certified instructor on exercises that are designed to directly improve your performance in the saddle. Contact the office for package price details, 757-566-0600 or info@stonehousestables.com.

Meet the Trainer: Kenaan Canady

Mission: To provide clients with proper and effective fitness plans; while motivating and inspiring them to push themselves mentally and physically to accomplish their individual goals. Although we may be different, we will share a common goal: to reach your full potential in health and fitness.

Certification: National Academy of Sports Medicine & Certified Nutrition Specialist

Personal Style: I am a former collegiate athlete that believes results are based on the efforts, specificity, intensity and goals of an individual. My former background fuels my high intensity personality that motivates me to help you reach your goals. Through all aspects of fitness including circuits, resistance training, pilate moves, and creative workout regimens I will provide a fun and stress relieving environment. On our journey to fitness, I will maintain professional integrity with honesty and respect, while showing compassion in our relationship as a professional and client.

Background: I have been engulfed in fitness for the past 7 years of my life. I am a Williamsburg native, graduate of Warhill High School and I later attended Concord University as a collegiate athlete. After injury and surgery I chose to maintain my fitness lifestyle as a personal trainer and high school Football/Track Coach. Ironically I am in better health now than I was as an athlete. My love for personal wellness will show in my efforts I give to those seeking a fitness lifestyle.
